Ahtilles Lemiken

First Centurion in the Third Legion, serving under the March Dux, Dorian Salvani. His friendship with Connor was forged under the hail of Hion arrows on the Dryden's Wall, but his loyalty to Dorian goes way back. He seems to be just a solid soldier, but is there more to his past than has been revealed?

Welcome

All Connor ever wanted was to travel the world and return home to tell the tale. Petty clan strife and a broken heart made leaving his homeland easy. No one told him that returning would be the hard part.

After six-years abroad, Connor's journey home is sidetracked when he is coerced into escorting the heir apparent to the imperial capital. Along the way, he discovers there is more to his childhood tales of the Fell Hunt than just fiction. Shadowed by ghostly hounds and otherworldly creatures as well as human adversaries, Connor overcomes betrayal and fierce opposition to deliver the heir safely, but finds the capital on the verge of mob rule. A tangled series of events culminate with his charge becoming empress, but his part in the ascension leaves him disillusioned and embittered.

The last of his innocence lost, he makes his way home, but homecoming is not what he expects. Tragedy in his absence and his new label of "outlander" push him into an isolationist mindset. Royal abductions, a looming clan war, and evidence suggesting that the Fell Hunt stalk the moors tug at his loyalties, but his past taught him a harsh lesson about getting involved. Only when his clan is wiped out is he forced to overcome his grief and past to seek an answer for the madness spreading over his homeland. Will Connor's efforts bring peace to the warring clans, or will he remain an outlander in his own lands, unable to avenge his murdered kin? Or is there another path to choose that will uncover the mystery connecting the past to the turbulent present?
